Matthew P. Cincione
Matthew is an experienced attorney and a leading civil litigator in the Columbus legal community.
Matthew led the workers’ compensation group at his prior firm in Columbus since 1985. He has practiced before the Ohio Industrial Commission, Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Ohio Board of Pharmacy, Mayor’s Courts, Municipal Courts, Common Pleas Courts, U.S. District Court, Ohio Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Ohio.
He has been a member of the Ohio Association for Justice since 1986 and has held many leadership positions in the organization, including spending seven years on the Board of Directors and serving as chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section from 2008 to 2009. He is a longtime member of Franklin County Trial Lawyers, previously chairing the Workers’ Compensation Committee. He also is a member of the Columbus Bar Association.
Matthew earned a B.A. in political science from The Ohio State University before attending Capital University Law School, where he received his J.D.
In addition to his legal career, Matthew became Mayor of the Village of Marble Cliff in 2020. Previously he served on the Village Council since 2001. He has also served as a Magistrate for the Grandview Heights Mayor’s Court since 2000 to 2019. He was a member of the Grandview Heights City Council from 1988 to 1995, serving as Council President from 1993 to 1995.
